  • What about safety: Aston Global Inc builds all spas in accordance with UL1563 and CSA C22.2 No 218.1 our spas are independently third party tested by Intertek ETL and carries the ETL mark.

  • Are the suction covers safe: Yes Aston Global Inc only uses Suction covers that are rated to meet the The Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act (VGB)

  • What about the cover: The spa cover is ETL classified to meet ASME F 1346 by our supplier. The cover is able to be locked to prevent unintended use. It is required that you always keep spa cover locked when the spa in not in use.

  • What are the power requirements for the spa: Based on the model of the spa can be either 110-120 VAC or 220-240 VAC and can require up to a 50 Amp circuit.  Please see model for specific power rating.

  • What is a GFCI breaker: Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) used in the US and Canada is a safety device and must be used in order for your spa to operate correctly and safely. NEVER operate or use a spa that does not have a properly installed GFCI breaker.

  • My GFCI Breaker keeps tripping on startup: Verify you GFCI Breaker is wired correctly. The spa requires a loaded Neutral wire from the GFCI breaker to the spa this loaded Neutral is connected to the Breaker NOT the Neutral bar. If wired properly  and the GFCI breaker will not stay on contact the manufacture.

  • What type of water should I use: Any source of clean water treated water is acceptable we recommend that you have your water tested by a Pool and Spa Retail store for mineral content.

  • Can I use well water: Yes you can but it is recommend that you have your water tested by pool and spa store well water can contain higher levels of minerals and metals they can recommend the proper the treatment.

  • How often should I change my water: It recommended that you change your water every 3 months.

  • How often should I replace my filter: Every 6 month you should replace your filter.

  • Can I clean my filter: Yes every month you should remove and rinse with water. Every 3 months you should deep clean the filter using Trisodium Phosphate (TPS) see your dealer for recommendations. It is recommended that you replace your filter every 6 months.

  • Where can I purchase a filter:  You can purchase from Aston Global Inc, Pool and Spa retail outlets or internet retailers.  Please see specific models for cross reference part numbers.

  • What surface can I place my spa on? The spa should be located on a smooth, level surface Aston Global recommends a pored, steel reinforced concrete slab a minimum of 4 inches thick. If you are building a deck you must plan for the filled weight of the spa, please check your spas specifications for the size.

  • Can I place my spa directly on the ground: No never place your spa directly on the ground.

  • Can I place my spa indoors: The spa is rated for indoor use, but placing a spa indoors is more complicated. You must plan for the spa’s weight, water overflow and ventilation. Please consult with an engineer if you a planning on an indoor location.

  • Can I put my spa into a deck: Yes you can but with some forethought. While installing into a deck can be a beautiful esthetic view it can also present problems for service. If you choose to install in a deck please allow ample room for service especially in the front of the spa where the pumps and spa controller are located.

  • Can I change from Chlorine sanitizer to Bromine or vise versa: Only if you are completely changing your water. Never add Chlorine to a spa treated with Bromine or vise versa. One exception is if you complete drain and refill your water.

  • I see an EC or ECN on my display: Your spa is in Economy mode refer to your Owners manual for explanation of Economy mode

  • I see SL or SLP on my display: Your spa is in Sleep mode refer to your Owners manual for explanation of Sleep mode.

  • My spa will not turn off:
    • Have recently lost power or refilled the spa then your spa is performing an initial filtration sequence which will last 2 hours at a minimum. The spa will filter a minimum of 2 hours every 12 hours or 2 times in a 24 hour period.
    • Check you filtration time is it set for “FC” which is filter continuous (24 hour filtration) or longer than 2 hours. Please refer to your Owners manual for how to change filtration time.

  • How long should I filter my spa: For most users the factory default of 2 hrs ever 12 hours (4 hours total in 24 hours) is more than adequate. If you are heavy user with a high number of bathers you may consider adding more time to filtration please refer to the Owners manual for how to change the filter time.

  • Which sanitizer should I use: Aston Global recommends Bromine sanitizers versus a Chorine sanitizer if available. Bromine remains active a little longer and you will not have the pungent odor of chorine. If no Bromine is available then Chorine sanitizer can be used but sure to use Chorine made specially or a portable spa. Please see your dealer for recommendations in your area.

  • My spa is overheating:
    • In some hotter climates during extreme heat you may experience over heating due to ambient temperature. This is not a failure of the spa but rather due to excessive heat. On solution is to crack the cover a few centimeters to allow heat to escape. Adjust the cover straps to allow for this but do not remover cover for safety.
    • Is the filtration time set to “FC” or longer than 2 hours check you filtration see Owners manual. Friction from the water moving in the pipes can cause the spa temperature to rise with out the heater turning On.

  • Can increase the temperature of my spa: The maximum set temperature for any spa including those produced by Aston Global is 104 ˚F this is set by the UL1563.

  • What about power consumption: Several factors come into play when concerning power consumption, location, number of users and the operational mode. The key contributors on controlling power consumption are always keeping the cover on and understanding the operational modes. Please refer to the Owner’s manual to understand operational modes. Remember that a spa in the “Standard” mode means that spa is always ready for use even at 3 am Sunday morning typically when you are sleeping.
