Shower Panel - FAQ

  • How do you connect: Based on your installation Aston Global has 2 versions of shower panels:                                                                                                                             
    • Standard Units- Requiring removal of the existing shower valve and connecting to each supply line both hot and cold.  Requires remodeling of the shower location
    • Retrofit Units -  Less invasive installation only requiring you to remove your existing shower head allowing you use your current shower valve
  • What type of connection is required:
    • Standard Units - Requires 3/8 inch male compression threads you are supplied with 2 Stainless steel braided hoses for connection.
    • Retrofit Units – No modification to your plumbing is required.  You are provided with all the necessary connections with the unit.  Connection requires you to remove the shower head and goose neck pipe and replace with a threaded straight nipple which is provided.
  • How much water is consumed:  Based on DOE regulations all shower heads and body jets can produce no more than 2.5 GPM (gallons per minute) at 80 psi max
  • Can I use both the shower head and body jets at the same time:  Unfortunately, no you cannot the diverter valve will only operate 1 function at a time
  • What is the shower panel body made from:  Aston Global uses 3 differ materials for the body of the shower panel, durable acrylic with fiberglass backing, 304 Stainless steel and aluminum
  • What maintenance is required:  Other than basic cleaning no other maintenance.
  • How do you clean the jets:  The body jet faces are removable so the can be cleaned, the shower head is also removable so that it can be cleaned and soaked if necessary.
  • How do you clean the unit:  For the acrylic units use non abrasive cleaner never use a cleaner such as Cometâ„¢ or AJAXâ„¢ on the acrylic surface.  On stainless steel units use any commercially available stainless steel cleaner.
